There is one designated section for the laboratories in the premises of the department. A person is designated to own and facilitate the students, further the available manuals and guidelines are readily available to help students in their research activities. The glassware and the other required material are available in the laboratory. This particular laboratory is equipped with different equipments such as COD reactor, water bath, pH meter, DO meter, BOD meter and UV/Visible spectrophotometer etc.
Several courses are taught such as wastewater treatment. Students are guided in the conduct of the course about the practical implications and later they can perform the experiments. Safety guidance is provided to personnel. The staff and students are advised to wear the lab coat and mask while performing experiments. Laboratory waste is disposed of in recycling, trash, laboratory glassware disposal boxes or sharps containers to ensure safety. Furthermore, all the Laboratory manuals/documentation/instructions for experiments are readily accessible to faculty and students.
