A general laboratory is in the center of the laboratories section in the vicinity of the college of earth and environmental sciences. This laboratory is equipped with analytical instruments such as atomic absorption spectrophotometer. A person and a teaching staff member are designated for the maintenance of this expensive instrument. Students can submit their prepared samples for the final analysis of heavy metals. Several other instruments are available such as pH meter, COD reactor, hot plate etc. Teaching staff can get these instruments by filling a form. The required chemicals are available in the chemical storage room.
The in-charge of this room is issuing the chemicals to the students according to their needs. The safety protocols are strictly followed in the handling of chemicals (The detailed guidelines are provided in the section below). All the Laboratory manuals/documentation/instructions for experiments are readily accessible to faculty and students.
